Statutory Declarations
Statutory Declarations may be witnessed by a Consular or Diplomatic Officer at the Australian High Commission in Wellington or the Australian Consulate-General in Auckland. See our addresses and contact details.
You are responsible for the content of the Statutory Declaration. If you are unsure of what you are required to write on the Statutory Declaration, you should contact the Authority who has requested that you sign one.
The Statutory Declaration must be signed in front of the Consular or Diplomatic Officer and cannot be witnessed by mail. An appointment is required prior to attending the High Commission (Wellington) or Consulate-General (Auckland). Blank Statutory Declaration forms may be obtained at the Australian High Commission and Australian Consulate-General. You will be required to present current photo ID, showing both your current name and signature.
You are responsible for forwarding the Statutory Declaration onto the relevant Authority.
